Canine Revolution
Being a Dog Owner can be overwhelming.
Especially when your dog is doing something you can’t seem to “fix”.
You had dogs growing up, but it never seemed this challenging.
Your dog starts doing something like jumping on house guests and you’re sick of the embarrassment, so you go to Google to search how to stop them from being rude.
There’s SO many pages of ideas and opinions.
Which one are you supposed to follow?!
You JUST want everyone to see your dog the way you do…like the perfect angel it is.
I know your dog is a GOOD DOG.
You just need some guidance on where to start from a professional you can trust.
As a Dog Mom myself, I understand completely the frustrations when looking for a dog trainer.
Y’see, I am a Dog Mom first and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer second.
I was in your exact position when one of my dogs became extremely dog reactive.
I would spend hours Googling and watching YouTube videos.
I spent thousands of dollars on dog trainers.
It wasn’t until two of my dogs started trying to kill each other, that I dove head first into all things dog behavior and became a Certified Dog Trainer myself.
When I started my own business, I was determined to help other Dog Moms who:
- just need a place to start
- who are DIYers
- who are on a budget (why are dogs so expensive?!?!)
That’s where the Intro to Dog Training Course comes in!

What’s inside:
Dog Psychology
Have you ever asked your dog to do something and they look at you like you’re stupid? Module 1 is going to help you speak your dog language. It’s about the basics of dog psychology and how dogs learn. You will learn how to teach your dog using a clicker and how to teach your dog nose and paw targeting.
Impulse Control
If your dog doesn’t think before they act, this module is for you! Module 2 is going to teach you how to help your dog improve their impulse control. This will help with things like jumping, rushing out of the door when you let them outside, and knocking over their food bowl when you go to set it down on the ground.
Basic Behaviors
If you have to tell your dog to “sit” 300 times before they actually listen, you’re going to wanna watch this module! Module 3 is all about teaching your dog basic behaviors such as “sit”, “down”, and “stand”. Your dog might already know these behaviors, but we are going to make sure that they respond the first time you ask and that they will do these behaviors under any conditions.
Place, Stay, Wait, & Recall
Wouldn’t it be nice to tell your dog to go to a specific “place” when guests come over or when you’re cooking dinner? Or y’know when your dog takes off out the back door to chase a squirrel…how great would it be to recall them and they actually listen? Module 4 is all about teaching your dog “place”, “stay”, “wait”, and “recall.
Reactivity
If your dog is afraid of other dogs, humans, cats…anything…this module will teach you the basics of counterconditioning their emotional response to triggers. This is a BASIC overview, so if you are finding that you need additional help after going through this module, please reach out.
Loose Leash Walking
Do you dread taking your dog for a walk because they try to pull your arm out of it’s socket? You’ve tried ever harness known-to-man, but they still pull. This module is going to teach you how to train your dog to walk perfectly on a leash with only using a flat-buckle collar.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺
-
Common Scents Dog Trainers are Science-Based Dog trainers. Science-based trainers teach through effectively communicating with the dog in ways they comprehend. A variety of methods are used, including positive reinforcement, shaping, teaching by example, and more.
I do not use any techniques that are considered abuse and believe in LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive).
-
I do recommend clicker training your dog because it is 50% faster than other methods. You’re busy! You need all the free time you can get.
If you’re not a fan of the clicker, that’s ok! You can still be successful with your dog. (I hated clickers when I first started training my dogs!)
-
The word “positive” in the term “Positive Reinforcement” does not mean EMOTION.
It means ADDITION.
You are adding something to the situation to get a desired behavior to continue.
To ONLY use Positive Reinforcement means that you as a dog parent, has NEVER yelled at your dog.
That you NEVER say “no”.
That you NEVER turn around and walk away when your dog jumps on you.
All of those things are PUNISHMENTS.
Science tells us that dogs learn by reinforcement and punishments. It also tells us that dogs (and people) learn best with positive reinforcement. So that is where we start, and we adjust as-needed based on the dog’s needs.

Most dogs don’t know the basics of impulse control, critical thinking, or problem-solving. All of my reactive/aggressive clients start with this course to get the basics down before moving to our Dog Mom Membership to work more on the reactivity and aggression.
This course does have a BRIEF overview of how to help your dog manage reactivity, but every dog is different and you will likely need additional help.
As the owner of a reactive dog myself, I know how overwhelming and defeating it can be. So I would LOVE to support you through this process. -
Yup! We’ve included video explanations, demonstrations, PDFs, and class recordings of each concept so that the material is presented in the way that works best for you and your learning style

If you’re wanting to dive deeper into training your dog, the next step would be to join our Dog Mom Membership. All graduates of this course will get $100 off their first month of the Dog Mom Membership. You can learn more about the membership HERE.
